Sophie Atkinson & Sam Young, both from Sodexo UK & Ireland and work in the house-keeping department here at North Devon District Hospital presented a cheque to the Special Care Baby Unit. Sophie decided to give up chocolate for 3 months, and Sam organised an Easter Raffle. Between them they have raised a FABULOUS £300. Great going ladies!!!

Geraldine Hayes has recently celebrated her 70th Birthday with a party at the Barnstaple Football Club. She decided to fundraise for the charity instead of receiving birthday gifts. She raised a whopping £512.50 which will go towards the Cancer and Wellbeing Centre Appeal. Her friend Ruby also assisted with the raffle and collecting donations on the night. BIG THANKS to you both!!

The lovely ladies from the Inner Wheel Club of Barnstaple had chosen Over & Above as a nominated charity for the year. Julie & Lisa from the Fundraising Team were presented with a cheque for £500 in aid of the Cancer & Wellbeing Centre Appeal. Thank you ladies!

Lisa from the Fundraising Team was presented with a cheque at Barnstaple & District Ladies Skittles League annual Dinner. They donated £400 in aid of the Cancer & Wellbeing Centre Appeal. Thank you ladies!

Paul Mullen (Vice Chairman) of North Devon Manufacturers Association organised a fundraising raffle and presented Over and Above Fundraiser Julie Whitton with a cheque for £1,915.00 to support the Cancer & Wellbeing Centre Appeal and the Intensive Care Unit at NDDH. This donation was made from the NDMA due to the inspiring story of local Ilfracombe man; Richard Barnes who overcame his physical disability and walked from Bideford Railway Station to the Puffin Billy in Torrington to raise funds for Over and Above.

Richard Barnes has inspired so many people, and we cannot thank the NDMA enough for coming on board and helping us to raise funds towards our new appeal and the ICU unit – both of these centres will benefit from their magnificent fundraising.

Bideford JOb Centre Staff took on the Bideford 10k and raised a fabulous £345.78 in sponsorship money  all in aid of the new Cancer & Wellbeing Centre. WELL DONE Di, Sue, Dave, Ali ,Paul and Sam!!

Natalie Jones along with her sister, Jessica and mother, Helen (not pictured) completed a trek up Snowdonia in extreme weather conditions. Whilst walking they encountered relentless fog, rain and wind. They raised £90 for the Special Care Baby Unit. Well Done Ladies!
