The Scrumptious Croyde Trail – photo gallery 2019

It may have been a damp day but we had a fantastic time at our delicious Scrumptious Croyde Trail – we had a fabulous day. There are lots more photos to come from the brilliant Barnstaple Camera Club – we will be posting them shortly.

The BRILLIANT Orchard Farm Shop (adj St Johns Garden Centre) – thank you Rob Cooper and Liz Wilton – you are amazing and to Simon and Nicola at St Johns Garden Centre.

A MASSIVE thank you to our food and drink donors. The food and drink was scrumptious …. At the start we enjoyed a refreshing bottle of Tarka Springs Water and Webbers Estate Agents offered a taste of Mrs Smudgers Kitchen’s scrumptious delicious flapjacks.

At the village hall we enjoyed Stapleton Farm’s creamy yoghurt with Midfields luxury hand baked Granola.

At the popular village Billy Budds pub we enjoyed delicious sausage pate burgers and mushroom burgers washed down with scrumptious Devon Dry cider.

On the coast path overlooking the Down End Beach we enjoyed a sample of Peck & Strong brownies or flapjack and Freshly brewed tea supplied by the Drop-in Café and Hawkridge Farmhouse Dairy Products
At Saunton Court we had a treat of Delicious honey fudge supplied by Quince Honey Farm

At Long Lane we had fresh bread supplied by Red Dog Artisan Bakery with tasty Plaistow Smoked trout pate from Muddiford (01271 850387) and tasty hummus supplied by Naked Kitchen

At Georgeham’s Rock Inn we tasted their famous delicious soup made from freshly cut spears of asparagus from Braunton Great Field supplied by local farmer David Hartnoll and a refreshing drink. The Kings Arms’ chef in Georgeham made a delicious tomato basil soup

At Pickwell Barn we enjoyed scrumptious scones from East West Bakery in Barnstaple spread with delicious award winning jam from Waterhouse Fayre

Then on Pickwell Plateau we ate local cheeses from Award winning Taw Valley Creamery and a truly scrumptious taste of Green Man Cider from apple orchards in Somerset and North Devon

On Putsborough grass verge we ate delicious meringues from West Country Meringues with South Devon Chilli Farm Chilli Chocolate- and Willie’s chocolate and Nanny’s fudge sauce – yum

Near the end we visited the National Trust’s Sandleigh Tea Room & Gardens we enjoyed a scrumptious cream tea and finally the finish at Beach Field Car Park we ate a packet of delicious BURTS hand cooked potato chips and Marsdens Devon Cottages gave out some fantastic goody bags with delicious Johns of Instow chocolate brownies and flapjacks.

A special BIG thank you to our landowners for letting us on your land – you are amazing – thank you Jo Cooper for use of Beach Field Car Park. To ORCHARDS FARM SHOP for organising the food suppliers and working so hard behind the scenes, Medicare SW for their amazing support on the day! A big thank you to Vibrant Life Chiropractic who offered relaxing massages to participants on their return – wow! To our volunteers who are absolutely amazing throughout. And last but certainly not least our supporters who took part on the day. I hope I haven’t missed anyone – THANK YOU ALL and hopefully we will see you next year!
