Support to relatives and carers

Support to relatives and carers

A cancer diagnosis can have a huge impact on a patient’s family or carer and that is why at the Fern Centre we also offer a range of support which they can freely access.  These services include:

  • Patient’s partners or children can access the counselling service. For more information please see the Counselling Service page
  • Family members and carers have free access to drop-in to the centre for support or information
  • Family members and carers can access to complementary therapies (up to 6 sessions)
  • Family members and carers have access to carers’ support group ran by the counselling team (referral needed). For more information please speak to one of our volunteers or the counselling team
  • Family members and carers can access the Qigong Tai Chi Classes

Devon Carers is a local charity offering support to carers across Devon.  Please see this short video for some more information about the services they offer. You can self-refer to Devon Carers via this link:https://devoncarers.org.uk/self-referral-form/
