Well Done Katie Baker!

Local endurance runner Katie Baker organised a charity quiz at Hunters Inn at Newton Tracey for the Cancer and Wellbeing Centre Appeal and raised a brilliant £1,015.   Around 55 people took part including a team of 5 from the Over and Above Charity, who had a great time.    21 year old Katie is a 3rd year Petroc student and is studying for a degree in Early Childhood Studies.  Throughout the year, Katie is taking part in a series of runs to raise funds for the Appeal, which includes many local runs, the Brighton marathon on 14th April, and a phenomenal 24-hour endurance run in Reading on 15th June.   Katie said “I chose Over and Above as my charity as the Cancer Support Centre would have been a great support to my Grampy and our family, and I know it will be a great support to the patients that need it now.”  Over and Above Fundraiser Julie Whitton said “Katie really is a marvel!  Her fundraising is second to none – she deserves lots of support for all the phenomenal challenges she is taking par.
