Sam & Lydia Brave the Head Shave

Sainsbury’s staff have been fundraising to support Over and Above’s Cancer and Wellbeing Centre Appeal.   Sainsbury’s employee Tracey Chick is receiving treatment at the Seamoor Chemotherapy Unit, and had been very unwell.  Her friends and colleagues wanted to support her while she was going through treatment, and her friend and Sainsbury’s colleague Sam Davis decided to go one step further and have her head shaved.  Sam said “Tracey is a very good friend to me and I wanted to do something to help.  I then convinced my daughter Lydia to have it done too, and my manager Nigel Collins arranged for us to have the headshave in the Barnstaple’s Sainsbury’s foyer, where I work.”  Sam and Lydia raised a total of £615.49 and Sainsbury’s staff raised £500, raising a total of £1,115.49.  Over and Above Fundraiser said “Sam and Lydia are now feeling a bit warmer as their hair has started to grow back.  They have worked very hard on their fundraising, which will help us to get that much closer to reaching our £1.5m appeal target.”  .
