At Over and above we fundraise for ward and department charity projects across Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, as well as for our community services. Donors are encouraged to support any area of the trust close to their heart.
The North Devon Cancer unit serves a population of 160,000 and over 1,000 new cancers are diagnosed each year. The service aims to provide optimal treatment for patients with cancer at all stages of their illness.
The Trust provides both inpatient and outpatient cancer services in North Devon and multi-disciplinary team management is accessible locally for common malignancies. Cancer care is one of the Trust’s key services. With your help we have recently built a new Chemotherapy and Day Treatment Unit at North Devon District Hospital (the Seamoor Unit) which has created an enhanced environment to treat those affected with cancer.
Your continued support for the Seamoor Unit Fund will help us provide vital equipment for those patients who are receiving various treatments within the unit.
