“Cloud 9” and various singing, acting and musician friends across North Devon are raising funds for the Dementia Unit on Fortescue Ward to build a special Memory Zone. They are trying to achieve their £1,000 goal to start the zone this summer.
Their “gigs” include “The Shoestring Theatre” in a comedy thriller “Silver Secrets and Lies” at Bradworthy Memorial Hall on Saturday 18th June (tickets £6 from Shirleyann 01409 241119), “Bradazzle” performing variety shows, “Cloud 9” entertaining at Over 60s, and “Peculiar Folk” singing at local pubs. Forthcoming events will appear on the web site and in the press. They need you to come along for an excellent night out and to support Over and Above! Bradazzle
The various entertainment groups are driven by Shirleyann and Roger Andrews, Linda and Andy Atherton, and north Devon entertainers having strengths in different areas of music, song and theatre. They perform at a variety of local events in support of Over and Above, and to keep community entertainment alive. The shows in their previous fund raising effort last year (see July 2015) were extremely successful and this year looks to follow.
